Composite scalar boson mass dependence on the constituent mass anomalous dimension

چکیده
We perform a Bethe-Salpeter equation (BSE) evaluation of composite scalar boson masses in order to verify how these can be smaller than the composition scale. The calculation is developed with constituent self-energy dependent on its mass anomalous dimension ($\gamma$), and we obtain relation showing decreases as $\gamma$ increased. also discuss fermionic corrections BSE kernel shall decrease mass, whose effect important one large $\gamma$. An estimate top quark loop that must appear gives lower bound mass.

Limits on the Mass of a Composite Higgs Boson
Current results from the LEP Electroweak Working Group2,3 favor a Higgs boson mass that is relatively light. The “best-fit” value for the Higgs mass is somewhat less than experimental lower bound of 107.7 GeV reported at this conference.4 The 68% and 95% CL upper bounds from precision measurements, in the context of the standard model, are 127 and 188 GeV respectively. It is possible that, as t...
متن کاملTaming the scalar mass problem with a singlet Higgs boson.
We investigate the fine-tuning problem in the Standard Model and show that Higgs boson and top quark masses consistent with current experimental bounds cannot be obtained unless one extends the particle spectrum. A minimal extension which achieves this involves addition of a singlet real scalar and one generation of vectorlike fermions. We show that this leads to a phenomenologically viable pre...
متن کاملNeutrino and scalar boson mass in algebraic quantum field theory
The hypothesis is explored that fermion rest mass is due entirely to self-interaction via virtual excitation of gauge bosons. This requires revising the standard model to treat both chiral projections of a fermion field as SU(2) doublets, which precludes Yukawa coupling to a scalar (Higgs) boson field. The estimated self-interaction mass of the electron neutrino is 0.291× 10−5me. The implied se...
متن کاملOn the Radiative Corrections to the Pseudo - scalar Higgs Boson Mass
We reexamine the one-loop corrections to the mass of the pseudo-scalar Higgs boson, using the effective potential. In the absence of the chargino and neutralino contributions its mass exhibits a large scale dependence in the large M1/2 regime, especially for values of tanβ > 20. Thus, although of electroweak origin, the heaviness of the M1/2, in conjunction with the largeness of tan β, makes th...
متن کاملQuark mass dependence of pseudo-scalar masses and coupling constants
The dependence of pseudo-scalar masses and decay constants on the sea and valence quark masses is investigated in the pseudo-Goldstone boson sector of QCD with two light quark flavours. The sea quark masses are at present in the range 1 3 ms ≤ mud ≤ 2 3 ms whereas the valence quark masses satisfy 1 2 msea ≤ mval ≤ 2msea. The values of the Gasser-Leutwyler low energy constants L4, L5, L6 and L8 ...
